Kudumbasree children's camp begins today

THRISSUR: Over 600 students selected from the Government schools across the State will participate in the central regional Kudumbasree Balasabha Sangamam (camp) to be held at the Sree Kerala Varma College here from Monday.

Thrissur Corporation is hosting the central regional Sangamam, which is being organised to coordinate curricular and extra curricular activities of the students.

According to the organisers 350 students from the district and 250 from other districts will be participating in the camp, which will have a host of programmes to enhance their academic capabilities as well as to bring out their talents in other fields.

The students from other districts will be staying as guests in the houses of the students here. Minister for Local Self-Government Institutions Kutty Ahammedkutty will inaugurate the camp on Monday.
