Mayawati expels 4 MPs
LUCKNOW:
Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) national president Mayawati on Monday announced the expulsion of four party MPs, including three who were caught on camera in the cash-for-query scam.
Announcing the decision here, Ms. Mayawati said Narendra Kushwaha, Rajaram Pal and L.C. Khol who were among the 10 MPs expelled from the Lok Sabha on Friday for accepting money to raise questions in Parliament were being removed from the party with immediate effect for lowering the dignity of Parliament and the BSP.
She said that Rajya Sabha member Ghanshyam Chandra, has also been expelled from the party with immediate effect for alleged bigamy.
``Since he has been expelled from the party, he should resign from his RS membership,'' she added. UNI
