NEW INNINGS: SNDP Yogam general secretary Vellappally Natesan and president J. Kamalasanan taking charge at the Yogam headquarters in Kollam on Monday
KOLLAM: At a well-attended ceremony here on Monday, Vellappally Natesan took charge as the general secretary of the SNDP Yogam for the third consecutive term. The other office-bearers J. Kamalasanan, M.P. Sreekumar and M.N. Soman also took charge as the president, vice president and devaswom secretary respectively of the organisation. Early on Monday morning, Mr. Natesan and the other office-bearers, accompanied by their supporters, went to Sivagiri and sought blessings. They paid floral tributes at the Guru Samadhi and the Saswatheekananda Samadhi. The supporters of Mr. Natesan were led by SN Trust treasurer G. Jayadevan; Kollam SNDP Union president Mohan Shankar; secretary R. Rajendran; Yogam director board members D. Semanthabhadran, Muthodam Anil and J. Azhakanandanan and SNDP Chathannur Union president Gopakumar. On the return journey from Sivagiri, more supporters joined the leaders and they reached the SNDP Yogam headquarters complex here at 10 a.m. All the office-bearers took charge by 10.15 a.m.
