TDP leader accepts Congress challenge

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Legislature Party deputy leader N. Janardhan Reddy has accepted the Congress challenge and agreed to place before the media the documents to prove "irregularities" in Kalwakurthy lift irrigation scheme work, in Mahabubnagar district in Andhra Pradesh.

Dr. Reddy told reporters here today that he would be available at the TDLP office inside the Assembly on Thursday with all documents.

"Let Congress leaders approach me. I will release the documents to prove my charge," he said.Reiterating that "corruption" was taking place in work, the former Minister said he had been highlighting the "deviations" and use of poor quality material.

He questioned the need for the authorities to "change" the design at the `behest' of Congress leaders and contractors.
