The major focus of the inaugural session of a one-day study class organised by the district unit of the Mahila Congress was the presence of Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president Ramesh Chennithala and Electricity Minister Aryadan Mohammed. Both used the occasion to deny the reported differences between them over the KSEB's official stand on the irregularities involved in the contract with Canadian company SNC Lavalin. While, the KPCC president made it categorical that there were no differences with the Minister over the issue as both believed there were irregularities in the contract, the latter in a bid to highlight the point said that there were differences between himself and the party chief. The KPCC president, he said, was more intelligent and far more efficient as an organisational man. Wasn't he taller than the KPCC president? Continuing in the same lighter vain, Mr. Aryadan said that there had been other differences between them. "But those differences ended with the birth of the DIC-K (Democratic Indira Congress-Karunakaran),'' he said.
