Coimbatore: Reliance Infocomm, the private wireless telephone service provider, has launched a lifetime validity prepaid recharge voucher for Rs 995. With these recharge vouchers a subscriber loading his prepaid account will not be forced to bind himself lifelong by its calling rates at Rs 1.99 local calls (to any mobile and fixed line) and STD at Rs 2.99. Subscriber will have the option to choose from a wide range of prepaid vouchers and tariff plans. "This is a very significant benefit to Reliance India Mobile (RIM) subscribers", said S.P. Shukla, president-Wireless, Reliance Infocomm. Under this product, they would initially have a talk-time of Rs. 55 for outgoing calls and could recharge their accounts with a top-up voucher ranging from Rs. 10. A recharge voucher at Rs. 440 a month would enable unlimited calls to RIM within the State and Rs 360 voucher valid for a month carried the low tariff plan of just 40 paise per minute for calls to any RIM within the State. There are SMS top-up vouchers priced at Rs 180 with six months validity for sending 18,000 short messages.
