THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of the ongoing project of the Department of Culture to publish works of poet Kumaran Asan, the Thonnakkal-based Kumaran Asan National Institute of Culture has brought out freshly edited volumes of the poet's works Nalini, Leela and Karuna. These volumes were released at a ceremony by Chief Minister Oommen Chandy. The Chief Minister also released the audiocassette and CD of the much-celebrated Asan creation Veenapoovu. The first copy of Nalini was received by Asan's granddaughter Nalini, while the first copy of the CD was received by the poet's grandson Vijayakumar. The first copies of Leela and Karuna were given to director of the Bhasha Institute Rajan Varghese. Copies of the books released on Thursday and those of the cassette and the CD will be available for sale at the Asan National Institute of Culture and at leading bookstalls and cassette shops.
