dated December 30, 1955: Madame Soong in Madras

Madame Soong Ching-ling, Vice-Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China, who is on a goodwill visit to India, arrived in Madras on December 28 by a special plane from Calcutta. Mr. Sri Prakasa, the Governor, received the Chinese leader as she stepped out of the aircraft and later introduced the officials to her.
