Pillow will tell you story

HYDERABAD: Imagine a pillow that reads a book of your choice at bedtime or a door that tells you what you have forgotten at home so that you remember to carry it along.

These are the future aspects of ubiquitous nature of information gathering, processing, sharing and storage, said Sarat Chandra Babu, Director of C-DAC, Hyderabad.

At a workshop on wireless sensor networks here on Thursday, he said the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) was creating a framework on these lines. Many devices were coming up. Hence, the centre's aim was to bring the technology to academics and R&D in India. — PTI
