Karnataka retains title

KOCHI: Karnataka defeated Kerala 5-1 and retained the men's title in the sixth South Zone senior baseball championship, which concluded at the Sacred College ground, Thevara, on Thursday.

Karnataka's Sidharth was adjudged as the championship's best player and Vijay the best pitcher. Kerala's Ajith Kumar was selected as the best catcher. K. Padmakumar, DIG of Police, Ernakulam Range, gave away the prizes. — Principal Correspondent
