Modern ayurveda centre opened at Kadavu Resorts

KOZHIKODE: A well-equipped ayurveda centre with modern facilities has been added to the facilities at Kadavu Resorts, situated in a 10-acre coconut grove near here.

The resort, constructed with laterite and palmwood and embellished with lotus ponds and landscaped gardens, is now as a major tourist destination.

N.K. Mohammed, managing director, Kadavu Resorts, claimed that with the addition of new facilities, the ayurveda centre, situated on the banks of Chaliyar, would be among the best of its kind in the country.

Now housed in three - stroyed building, designed on traditional architectural specifications, the centre is an upgraded version of the ayurveda centre that has been functioning at Kadavu Resorts.

The centre has `green leaf classification granted by the Government. The Kadavu ayurveda centre has been attracting domestic and foreign tourists in large numbers. Mr. Mohammed also announced at a press conference that a rich mix of western and eastern music programmes have been organised at Kadavu Resorts to welcome the New Year.

Families visiting the resort would also be able to travel by houseboats for a nominal fee.
