Thiruvananthapuram: The AICC Central Election Committee has inducted 50 Congress leaders from the State as AICC members. In addition, it has brought in a new category of co-opted members numbering 20, ostensibly to accommodate leaders who could not find a slot in the original list. CEC chairman Oscar Fernandez intimated KPCC president Ramesh Chennithala the new list of AICC members who will represent Kerala at the next AICC meeting. The presidents of the National Students' Union, Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, Seva Dal and the INTUC will be exofficio members. Two women MLAs, Savithiri Lakshmanan and Mercy Ravi find a place in the general list containing 36 names. The AICC also inducted 14 other women nominees.
