MANGALORE: Industries and Finance Minister P.G.R. Sindhia on Thursday held the Congress responsible for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) securing the highest number of seats in the last Assembly elections in the State. To a query, he said the Congress should understand that it is responsible for the growth of BJP in the State as it did not adopt pro-people and welfare-oriented policies while in power. As a result, the BJP grew in popularity, he added.
