Ch. Srinivasa Rao
HYDERABAD
: Ch. Srinivasa Rao, a senior scientist at Central Research Institute for Dryland Agriculture (CRIDA), has been chosen for the prestigious Dr. B.C. Deb Memorial Award for soil/physical chemistry by the Indian Science Congress Association.
The award will be presented to the scientist by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh at the inaugural session of the 93rd Indian Science Congress at Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University here on January 3, according to a press release.
Dr. Srinivasa Rao has been selected for the award for his outstanding contribution in chemistry of soil and potassium and its dynamics in Indian soils and nutritional deficiencies in dryland regions of the country. The award comes with a gold medal.
