HYDERABAD : South Central Railway will run four weekly special express trains between Hyderabad-Ernakulam Junction-Hyderabad from January 2 to clear the heavy Sabarimala pilgrim traffic. Train No. 0766 A Hyderabad-Ernakulam Junction train will leave at 9.30 a.m. on January 2 and 9 and arrive Ernakulam at 2.45 p.m. the next day. In the return direction, train No. 765 Ernakulam Junction-Hyderabad special express will leave at 11.55 p.m. on January 3 and 10 (both Tuesdays) and arrive in the city at 4.30 a.m. on Thursday. It will have halts at Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Tenali, Nidubrolu, Bapatla, Chirala, Ongole, Kavali, Nellore, Gudur, Renigunta, Tiruttani, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Podanur, Palghat, Ottapalam, Trichur and Alwaye. The train will have an AC II tier and AC III tier coaches each, 10 sleeper class, two general second class and luggage-cum-brake van coaches, according to an official press release.
For Visakhapatnam
A special train will also be operated to Visakhapatnam on January 30 to clear the extra rush of passengers. Train No. 0748 will leave Hyderabad at 9 p.m. and arrive in Visakhapatnam at 11.05 a.m. the next morning. In the return direction, it will leave Visakhapatnam at 7.30 p.m. on January 31 and arrive Hyderabad at 9.40 a.m. the next day. It will have halts at Secunderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot, Annavaram, Tuni and Anakapalle in both directions.
