THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Pettah police have arrested four persons hailing from Tamil Nadu on charges of conducting criminal activities in the State, including theft and burglary. Those arrested are Muthu, 47, Ravi, 38, Raju, 30, and Ganesan, 40, all residents of Nagapattinam. According to the police, the accused are wanted in a number of criminal cases in Madurai, Nagercoil, Kalaikkavila, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Eranakulam. They were arrested by the police from Bala Nagar Colony, near Veli.
Fake currency: man held
Madhu, 39, resident of Vattiyoorkkavu, was arrested by the police on Thursday morning for making payment using counterfeit notes of Rs.100 denomination at a toddy shop in Vanchiyoor. The police also recovered three fake currency notes of the same denomination from the accused.
