Hizbul activist's remand extended
Staff Reporter
HYDERABAD:
A local court on Thursday remanded Muzeeb Ahmed, who was arrested by the police on the charge of planning terrorist attacks in the city, in judicial custody for 14 days.
He was convicted for life for gunning down an Additional Superintendent of Police Krishna Prasad 13 years ago and released after the Government granted remission to him. Then he was working for Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front.
The police alleged that currently Muzeeb was working as the city head of terrorist outfit Hizbul Mujahideen and was procuring firearms. His plans came to light when an activist of the group, Shabbir Ahmed, was caught with arms and ammunition at Ajmer in Rajasthan a couple of days ago.
