Textile bandh postponed

HYDERABAD : The Statewide `textile bandh' proposed on January 6 by the Andhra Pradesh Federation of Textile Associations has been postponed.

The federation announced the postponement after its delegation, led by State president A. Vijay Kumar, represented waiver of Value Added Tax on certain items of textiles to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday. Dr. Reddy promised to do justice to traders.
