SNDP Yogam-NSS tie-up to continue, says Vellappally

Staff Reporter

Kochi: Vellappally Natesan, general secretary of Sree Narayana Dharma Paripalana (SNDP) Yogam, on Thursday, said the Yogam's tie-up with the Nair Service Society (NSS) would continue.

At a meet-the press programme, organised by the Ernakulam Press Club, he said this would not be at the cost of the beliefs and opinions of the two organisations. There might be differences between them on certain issues, but that would not come in the way of their jointly fighting to get what was due to majority communities.

He said the Yogam did not wish to grab what the minority community had been enjoying. It would continue to fight against denial of social justice and work towards poverty alleviation by introducing schemes, such as micro-finance, among the community.

Replying to a question, Mr. Natesan said he had raised allegations of corruption against Minister for Tourism and Devaswoms K.C. Venugopal with the backing of documentary evidence. He had sent a letter, with incriminating documents, to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy.
