Sainik Vihar inaugurated

KOCHI: Maj. Gen. K.S. Sindhu, Director General (Resettlement), Ministry of Defence, inaugurated 32 cottages at the Sainik Vihar, Kakkanad on Thursday evening. The patron-in-chief of Sainik Vihar, Lt. Gen. (retd) S.K. Pillai presided over the function.

The accommodation at the Vihar is based on the rank and financial ability of each soldier.

It is a contributory housing scheme promoted and financed by Kerala Ex-Servicemen Welfare Association (KEXWA). The aim is to provide senior citizens with decent and inexpensive retirement homes.
