Preparations begin for youth festival

KOCHI: Fisheries and Sports Minister Dominic Presentation on Thursday inaugurated the construction of the main pandal for the 46th Kerala State School Kalolsavam, to be held from January 19 - 23 at Ernakulam.

The `kaal naattu karmam,' was held at Marine Drive, which will be the main venue. K. Babu, MLA, working chairman of the organising committee, presided over the meeting. Additional Director of Public Instruction (DPI) Beena; the Corporation councillor Leno Jacob; and organising committee general convener V.Sanu, Deputy Director of Education, also spoke. Rituals, including `bhoomi puja,' were performed.
