PERTH: Peter Wessels won his singles match and helped Michaella Krajicek win the mixed doubles as the Netherlands rallied for a 2-1 win over China in a qualifying match on Friday to reach the main draw of the Hopman Cup. The Hopman Cup became the first elite level ITF event to officially use instant replay ``Hawk-Eye'' technology to assist umpires on line calls during matches. Players are allowed to challenge line calls during the matches, with umpires able to review angles from cameras which track the trajectory of the ball. Krajicek was the first player to take advantage of the system when she challenged an overrule by umpire Pascal Maria in the third game of her first set against Peng. The results: Group B: Netherlands bt China 2-1 (Peng Shuai bt Michaella Krajicek 6-3, 4-6, 6-3; Peter Wessels bt Sun Peng 6-2, 6-2; Krajicek/Wessels bt Sun/Peng 6-4, 6-4). AFP
