HYDERABAD: Ministers, elected representatives, officials and others made a beeline for the residence of Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Sunday to extend New Year greetings to him. The Chief Minister's camp office was buzzing with activity right from the morning as people carrying flower bouquets and sweets greeted Dr. Reddy and wished him all success in his future endeavour. His Cabinet colleagues -- J. Geeta Reddy, Koneru Ranga Rao, Md. Ali Shabbir and M. Satyanarayana Rao, met the Chief Minister and extended warm wishes. Telangana Rashtra Samiti MLAs -- S. Santosh Reddy and Mandadi Satyanarayana Reddy -- also called on Dr. Reddy.
Diary released
The Chief Minister also released a diary brought out by the Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ). A calendar brought out on the occasion of Kalachakra and that of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams were also released. Priests from the TTD blessed Dr. Reddy and his wife, Vijayalaxmi. After meeting the visitors, Dr. Reddy went to Raj Bhavan and called on Governor Sushil Kumar Shinde. From there, he went to Gandhi Hospital and later flew to Visakhapatnam to participate in the inauguration of the Janjavathi irrigation project in Vizianagaram district.
