KARIMNAGAR: There was good response to the `Dial your Collector' programme, which was formally launched on Monday with Collector C. Parthasarathi receiving some 13 calls on the first day of the programme. The Collector received the phone calls directly between 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and redressed the grievances in consultation with the officials who participated in the programme. The callers informed the Collector about the problems pertaining to the RTC, educational department, SC Corporation, Zilla Parishad, irrigation department, Karimnagar Municipal Corporation, Indira Kranthi Patham and the banks. He gave necessary instructions to the officials to redress the grievances. The Collector had assured one A. Nagabushanam to sanction loan under the Swarna Jayanthi Shahari Rozgar Yojana scheme for taking up small fabric business. He also assured to remove encroachments near the RTC workshop area in Karimnagar town within two to three days. DRDA project director T Chiranjeevulu, DRO, Ganga Ram, JD (animal husbandry) Laxmirajam, JD (agriculture) Koti Reddy and others were also present.
