Held for laying siege to Mini Civil Station

PATHANAMTHITTA: The police have arrested four persons, besides registering a case against 100 others, belonging to the Sadhujana Vimochana Munnni (SVM), for laying siege to the Mini Civil Station here and for attempting to barge into the office compound on Monday.

The SVM workers have been staging satyagraha on the pavements before the Mini Civil Station to press various demands, for the past four months. The talks initiated by Cultural Affairs Minister A.P.Anilkumar earlier to end the satyagraha had failed.
