Rajahmundry: Commissioner of Rajahmundry Municipal Corporation C. Sudarshan Reddy inaugurated the Lepakshi handicrafts exhibition on Sunday. G. Rajanna, Deputy Manager (F&A) GAIL, Managing Director of Lepakshi B. Jayaraj and M. Kumararatnam were present. The sale of handicrafts will be up to Pongal. Kakinada: The 11-day crafts exhibition organised by Handicrafts Artisans Welfare Association, a Warangal-based a NGO, began here on Monday. According to Syed Fazil Ali, president of the association, the association was registered in 1994 with a view to promoting handicrafts and help give a helping hand to the artisans. He said it had so far organised 30 exhibitions all over the country. A group of 40 artisans along with their handicrafts including brassware, Warangal darries, leather bags, Hyderabad pearls, Pochamaplli sarees, Nirmal and Kalankari paintings, wooden carvings were participating in the exhibition. The exhibition would be on at the Pydah Chalamaiah Srinivasa Kalyana Mandapam.
