Third accused in Narela case still absconding

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The third accused involved in the criminal assault on a married woman in a moving Maruti 800 car at Narela in North-West Delhi on Saturday is still at large. The police are also trying to trace the vehicle that was used in committing the crime.

On Saturday morning, the victim was on her way back from a local market when her relative, Vikram, offered her a lift in his car in which two of his friends, Sushil and Naresh, were already present.

Sushil and Naresh allegedly overpowered the victim and criminally assaulted her while Vikram drove the vehicle on Harishchandra Road in Narela.

Later, the police arrested Sushil and Naresh. "Raids are being mounted to arrest Vikram," said a police officer.
