Return of the students

BACK TO COLLEGE: Students of MGR Deemed University in Maduravoyal returned to college on Monday after a two-month absence due to the heavy floods and subsequent demolition work carried out by Tiruvallur district authorities on the college premises. T hey were told that classes would resume from January 4 in two batches or shifts. As the hostel is getting demolished, the government has accommodated them at a housing board apartment complex nearby. — Photo: K. Pichumani
