Woman found murdered

BANGALORE: An unidentified woman aged around 30 years was found murdered at a eucalyptus grove in Vidyaranyapura police station limits on Sunday afternoon.

Police said that the half-burnt body of the woman was found at the grove near Basavalingappa Colony. Police are yet to ascertain the cause of the death and also whether she had been sexually assaulted.

The Vidyaranyapura police have registered a case.

Recovered

The Vijayanagar police have arrested two persons on charges of burglary and recovered from them gold ornaments and electronic goods, together worth Rs. 15 lakhs.

The names of the arrested were given as Ayzaz Pasha (46) of Valmikinagar on Mysore Road and Imran Khan (31) of Padarayanapura.

The accused had allegedly burgled three houses, the police added.
