Cranes for road accident relief

Thiruvananthapuram: The Motor Vehicles Department has provided four modern cranes for accident relief to the non-governmental organisation working in the field of road safety in four districts of the State.

The cranes, each costing Rs.30 lakhs, have been provided to NGO's working in Kozhikode, Thrissur, Kollam and Kottayam districts, according to State Transport Secretary Alex Paul.

The cranes under a centrally sponsored scheme.
