Not the right way

The article, "A BJP without Atal Bihari Vajpayee" (Jan. 2), was excellent. It is indeed sad that a man who charted the party's course was accorded such a treatment at the BJP's national executive meet in Mumbai when he announced his retirement.

This reminds one of the way P.V. Narasimha Rao was treated by the Congress after he stepped down as party president.
