Bangalore: M.S. Dhoni declared that the Indian team is ready to face the `short-pitched' challenge that they expect to face in the forthcoming tour of Pakistan. "Yes, there have been many statements about the Pakistani bowlers' intent to bowl bouncers at us and test our batsmen but we are ready to face the challenge and tackle the bouncers," the Indian wicket-keeper batsman said on the sidelines of a business function after he signed an endorsement deal with Karnataka Soaps and Detergents company. On the series ahead, Dhoni said, "it will be a tough one and Pakistan has done very well against England and they are performing well as a unit. Even we are geared up and the team that performs consistently well should win the series. I want to give my best and there will be tough competition on the field." — Sports Reporter
