ADILABAD : Mandal Educational Officers (MEO) of Narnoor, Sarangapur and Nirmal were placed under suspension on Tuesday on charges of corruption and misreporting facts required for recently held teachers' counselling. Also, transfers and promotion of three teachers were cancelled by Adilabad District Educational Officer P.B. Narsing Rao following allegations of malpractice during counselling. The orders were issued after members of different teachers' unions picketed his office for over four hours thereby preventing the staff from entering the premises. The DEO suspended Narnoor MEO A. Bhoja Reddy who is facing corruption charges. Sarangapur MEO S. Ganga Reddy and Nirmal MEO L. Ramchandra Reddy were suspended on the charge of furnishing wrong information relating to teachers who were appearing for counselling. The DEO also cancelled transfer of teachers -- Ganga Prasad and Rajanna.
