National conference on digital libraries

Coimbatore: The Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Institute of Textile Management will organise a national conference on "Digital Libraries: from Technology to Culture" on January 7. Seminar

Dr. G.R. Damodaran College of Science will organise a seminar on "child sexual abuse" on January 9 on college premises. A panel discussion chaired by Vidhya Shankar, chairperson, Relief Foundation, Chennai, will also be held.

Training held

The CARE Trust conducted a labour rights education programme for women workers in garment units at Ganapathy Palayam, near Palladam.

It had two sessions covering ILO and its background, ILO convention, reaction from participants and group discussions.
