Power supply to be affected

Power supply will be affected between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesday because of maintenance work in the following areas HSR I, II and IV sectors, Agara, Bellandur and surrounding areas.

Nataka Academy commends Prakash

The Karnataka Nataka Academy has congratulated M.P. Prakash, Deputy Chief Minister and chairman of the reception committee of the National Theatre Festival for naming the festival after the renowned thespian late Gubbi Veeranna. The festival will commence here on Wednesday.

Recruitment test postponed

The competitive examination for recruitment of lecturers in Unani and homeopathy in the Department of Indian System of Medicine and Homeopathy, which was scheduled for January 15, has been postponed in view of a directive from the Government to the Karnataka Public Service Commission, a press note said.

Conference on student support services

K.L.E. Society's S. Nijalingappa College will organise a two-day national conference on "Student support services and progression — institutional commitment" on its premises in Rajajinagar from Friday. Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, college Principal V.S. Karki said the conference, which is sponsored by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), aimed at discussing how institutions can offer student support services.
