Isolated rain likely in coastal T.N.

CHENNAI: Mainly dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu and dry weather prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.

The minimum temperature fell at one or two places over Telangana, interior Karnataka, rose appreciably above normal at one or two places over north coastal Andhra Pradesh, rose at one or two places over Tamil Nadu, coastal Karnataka and changed little elsewhere over the region.

They were appreciably below normal at a few places over Telangana, at one or two places over interior Karnataka, below normal at a few places over rest Telangana, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, at one or two places over south Tamil Nadu, above normal at one or two places over extreme north Tamil Nadu and were generally normal over the rest of the region.

Adilabad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 10 degree Celsius in the plains of the region.

Forecast (Valid until Friday morning): Isolated rain is likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry. Mainly dry weather will prevail over interior Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Farmers weather bulletin (valid until the morning of 6th January): Isolated rain is likely to occur over coastal Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry and mainly sunny weather will prevail over interior Tamil Nadu.

Outlook: No large change.
