It's Binu Mani vs Rynold Timothy

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Binu Mani will meet Rynold Timothy in the men's singles final of the Sri Chitra State tennis tournament at the TTC courts here on Wednesday.

Binu Mani led his brother Binoj 6-0 when the latter conceded. Rynold sailed into the final as his opponent Cecil George threw in the towel after trailing 0-5 in the first set.

Tao Issaro took the boys under-16 title whipping Mihir Pillai 6-0 6-0 in the final. Vikram Ramesh won the boys under-10 title. In the final, Vikram defeated Mathew Lathra 6-1, 6-3.

The results:

Men's singles (semifinals): Binu Mani bt Binoj Mani 6-3 (concd); Rynold Timothy bt Cecil George 5-0 (conceded).

Boys Under-18: Doubles (semifinal)s: Rynold Timothy/M.S.Sarath Lal bt A.Anand/S.L.Arun 6-3, 6-3

Under-16 (final): Tao Issaro bt Mihir Pillai 6-0, 6-0.

Doubles (semifinals): Tao Issaro/Mihir Pillai bt Ruputhaman Ram/Sivakumar 9-0; S. Ramnath/Jayaram bt Shyam Babu/Rajendran 9-6.

Under-10 (final): Vikram Ramesh bt Mathew Lathra 6-1, 6-3.

Girls (under-16) quarterfinals: Parvathy Vijayan bt Ratnika Prasad 9-0. Minu R. Raju bt Amala Warrick 9-3.
