KSRTC staff suspended

Thiruvananthapuram: The KSRTC has suspended four staff of the Vellarada depot in connection with the collapse of a seat of the KSRTC bus that operated from Vellarada to Thiruvananthapuram on January 2. A women commuter was thrown out of the bus following the incident. According to a release from the KSRTC,those suspended were B. Sasidharan, K. Ganapathy, R. Madhusoodhan and C. Rajasekharan Nair. — Staff Reporter

Found dead

Thiruvananthapuram: Rajendran (52), of Thoppuvila, Nedumangad, was found dead in his house on Wednesday after having consumed furidan, a pesticide. He was brought dead to the Medical College hospital. In another incident, Sasi (53), a security personnel working at Technopark collapsed while on duty on Wednesday afternoon, and died later at the Medical College hospital. — Staff Reporter
