CHENNAI: Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Kerala and dry weather

prevailed over Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Karnataka.

The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in Centimetres are:

Chidambaram (Cuddalore dt.) and Parangipettai 4 each, Kattumannarkoil and Srimushnam (Both Cuddalore dt.) Mayiladuthurai (Nagapattinam dt.), Nagapattinam and Karaikal 1 each.

The minimum temperature rose appreciably at a few places over Tamil Nadu, at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, north interior Karnataka, fell at one or two places over rest coastal Andhra Pradesh and changed little elsewhere over the region.

Forecast (Valid until Saturday morning): Isolated rain or thundershowers are likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerala. Mainly dry weather will prevail over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep.

Outlook: No significant change.
