This is an exhibition that hopes to bring to India a different picture of Israelis than travellers with enormous rucksacks coming to an exotic country to freedom after their compulsory stint in the Army. Bringing bridges of friendship through art, Israeli and Indian artists have come together to share their worlds. "The exhibition is art through the heart. It is called `Traces of Touch-II'. I wanted to give Israel an art face in India. Most people just see Israelis walking in the Himalayas or on the beaches of Goa. We love the colours of Indian culture and I thought it was a good idea to share,'' says a curator from Israel, Frida Steinberger. While this is not Frida's first trip to India, most artists that she has chosen to bring to India have never been here before. A unique cultural experience for the artists, she has given them a feel of the streets of Delhi so that they take back with them more than images of just a gallery with walls. The exhibition that opened at Visual Arts Gallery on Thursday is open up to Saturday. -- Mandira Nayar
