Appajosyula Kandalam Foundation's mega literary, cultural festival begins

Four-day event being held in Telangana for first time

NIZAMABAD: A four-day mega literary and cultural festival being organised by the American-based Appajosyula Vishnubhotla Kandalam Foundation in connection with its 13th anniversary celebrations commenced at the Balabhavan premises on Thursday.

The cultural festival is being organised in Telangana region (outside Hyderabad) for the first time.

The foundation is conducting it in association with the Indur Kalavahini, Nizamabad.

In his inaugural address, A. Surya Prakash, Principal (rtd), Government Giriraj College, lauded the foundation for choosing Nizamabad for conducting its 13th annual literary conference and drama and folklore events.

'The town had acquired recognition with the setting up of a university, he noted.

Government Oriental College, Kamareddy principal M. Anantakumara Sarma presided.
