Final ODI today
Wellington: New Zealand and Sri Lanka have an eye on future targets going into their fourth one-day international cricket match here on Friday, with New Zealand having already wrapped up the five-match series.
For New Zealand coach John Bracewell, the objective is to develop depth ahead of next year's World Cup while the desperately out of form Sri Lankans cannot wait to leave the country so they can team up with a sports psychologist for much-needed mental analysis. From the New Zealand squad, which won the series-deciding third match on Tuesday, match-winning batsman Nathan Astle has been dropped to make way for returning captain Stephen Fleming, while off-break spinner Jeetan Patel has been brought in for fast bowler James Franklin.
