Cadets always make a perfect case of enthusiasm and exuberance. This was evident in the cycle rally organised by National Cadet Corps of 9 (TN) Battalion from Karaikudi to Kanyakumari on January 4. The 20 cadets halted in Madurai on Wednesday night at Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College and resumed the rally on Thursday. S. Davidson Devasirvatham, Deputy Commissioner (Traffic) flagged off the rally and Lt. Col. Suresh, Commanding Officer, 14(TN) BN, Dindigul, spoke of the importance of NCC. The rally is intended to create awareness of HIV-AIDS, traffic rules and protecting public property from illegal occupation among rural masses.
