Three held for attack on police task force office?

Staff Correspondent

Bidar: There are unconfirmed reports that three persons have been arrested in Bidar in connection with the terrorist attack on the office of the police task force in Hyderabad.

According to sources, Azmal Ali Khan, who allegedly sheltered Shahed, suspected terrorist from Bangladesh, for over a month in Bidar, has been apprehended by the Andhra Pradesh police. They have also taken into custody Azmat Khan, who befriended Shahed during the latter's stay in Bidar in March 2005. Azmat Khan allegedly helped Shahed make two bombs that went off in the task force office.

Mohammad Barudwala, a dealer in explosives, who allegedly supplied 11 gelatine sticks to terrorists, has been reportedly arrested.

The police raided 23 computer institutes to find out where Shahed had enrolled as a student. "We have raided nearly a dozen hostels for clues," police sources said.
