Bidar: Narsingrao Suryavanshi, Bidar MP, has said he has not encroached upon "any land, anywhere in the district". Nr. Suryavanshi said he is not a beneficiary of the Ashraya scheme. "The Karnataka Housing Board (KHB) allotted me a site in 1987. If there has been a mistake it is committed by the KHB and not by me. My house is not situated on Survey No. 15 in Gullar Haveli. I am not clear about the survey number. It is probably 10 or 11. The district administration's survey that identified my survey number as 15 is unscientific. The district administration's notice served on me is faulty. I was not informed of the survey," he said. Mr. Suryavanshi said a scientific survey should include the opinions of all the people concerned. "I was not consulted during the survey. A fresh scientific survey should be conducted to demarcate our lands before the district administration goes ahead with its plans of demolishing houses in that land," he said. He said he is not trying to get Deputy Commissioner Munish Moudgil transferred or suspended. "I have never got any officer transferred in my 25 years of political life," Mr. Suryavanshi said. He said he will approach the court to seek a stay on the ongoing demolitions in the city.
