A1 GP race postponed

JAKARTA: The A1 Grand Prix race in Indonesia later this month has been postponed due to the death of Sheik Maktoum bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the emir of Dubai and uncle of A1 series founder Sheik Maktoum bin Hasher bin Maktoum Al Maktoum, organisers said in a release.

No new date has been set for the event — originally scheduled for January 15 and the seventh leg of the 11-race A1 series.

A1 said in its release that it was working with Indonesian government officials to reschedule the race. — AP
