Nellore: The Rytu Coolie Sangham (RCS) has opposed the proposed construction of municipal office in the compound of Government College, Venkatagiri.
`Clever ploy'
In a statement issued here on Thursday, secretary of RCS J. Kishore Babu alleged that the move was a clever ploy to corner the valuable land of the college. Earlier, an extent of 1.5 acres near the college was sold for an amount of Rs. 60 lakhs in the name of developing the college and so far not even a compound wall was constructed, he alleged. The organisation also demanded the release of arrested students who protested against the Government's decision.
