ANANTAPUR: The judicial custody of Julakanti Srinivasa Reddy alias Moddu Sreenu, one of the key accused in the Paritala Ravindra murder case, was extended till January 18 by Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate A. Jayaraj here on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probing the murder case is yet to file the supplementary chargesheet in the case. The supplementary chargesheet is required to be filed against Moddu Sreenu, P. Goverdhan Reddy, B. Ramaswamy and U. Anandkumar Reddy. Though the chargesheet had named Moddu Sreenu as the second accused he was not arrested till recently. As the CBI had failed to nab Moddu Sreenu, the case was split by the Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate's Court into two on September 6 between the 12 arrested accused and the then fugitive, Moddu Sreenu. Further, the case against the 12 accused persons in the case was transferred to the Sessions Court on September 16. After the probe agency expressed its inability before the court to nab Moddu Sreenu twice, the accused surfaced in Hyderabad in an unexpected manner on November 17 last year and was produced in the AJFCM court here on December 9.
