Gay racket busted, four held in Lucknow

LUCKNOW: Lucknow Police have arrested four men, including an assistant accountant of the State Administrative Tribunal, for running a gay club on the Internet and indulging in `unnatural' sex .

Nihal Ahmed, one of the prime accused, confessed that he had been running the club for the last eight years. The members of the club would only make an ID and a pass word to register themselves as members of the club.

``Since one year, we had run it on the Internet. But we have been doing it otherwise for 7 to 8 years. We only made ID and pass word and nothing else. If we liked each other then we would have sex,'' said Ahmed.

Pramit, another accused arrested by the police and a member of the club says he had physical relations.

``I do not know why I have been brought here. He is my friend. Only two or three times we had relations between us. We became family friends and used to visit each other's house. I had come to see him since he was not well. We had physical relations,'' said Pramit, another accused.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Ashutosh Pandey said the gay racket involves a huge gang which runs it internationally. As many as 30 to 40 people have already been traced by officials in Lucknow. The police has found their addresses and phone numbers.

``Our Indian culture does not permit for gay society and even we consider it illegal and unnatural sex. A gang has been working at the International level starting from Singapore to Chennai, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Lucknow and even in other areas. We are continuing to bust the racket. They have already named 30 - 40 people."said Mr. Pandey. -ANI
