"Music enchants everyone"

CHENNAI: Sri Bhairavi Gana Sabha on Thursday conferred the titles of "Sabha Bhushan" and "Naatya Bhairavi" on J. Krishnamachari, secretary, Sri Thyaga Brahma Gana Sabha and Kumari Shailaja, Bharatanatyam danseuse, on the occasion of its fourth annual music festival here.

The awards were presented by S.R.Singaravelu, Judge, Madras High Court, who also inaugurated the music festival. The titles carried a memento, citation and a shawl.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Singaravelu said there was no one in the world who was not enchanted by music.

Nalli Kuppuswamy Chetti, sabha chairman, A.Natarajan, president and H.Ramakrishnan, secretary, also spoke.
